Run Rocklin 2011

On Sunday the whole family packed up and went to the Run Rocklin race. I ran in my first 5k and the kids ran a 1/4 mile for the first time. Chris and the kids waited for me to cross the finish line. I ran the 3.2 mile course in 32 minutes flat which I beat my time in my head of 35 minutes. We will run another race come summer. We are all looking forward to it!!

Weekend Getaway to Tahoe

Okay so it's been a pretty long time since our last post, but the whole family has been on and off sick and we took the plunge and finally put travertine tiles throughout the house except for the bedrooms. So after everyone got healthy and the floors were complete Chris and I decided to take a little trip to Tahoe. We decided to take the long way and go up I80 through Reno so we could stop at the Nugget and have their famous Awful Awful burger. It was one of our top 5 burgers of all time. Delicious!! Happy Valentine's Day

So finally the kids were healthy enough for use to take Valentine's pictures. It's really hard to

get both kids to cooperate and to be able to get one good picture. We were lucky enough to get both kids smiling and looking at the camera for the group shot, but when it was time for individuals Gavin wanted to nothing to do with it. So needless to say we only were able to get a solo shot of Lexi. Thanks G for making memories.

Well this year Alexis asked if she could make cake pops to pass out to her friends for Valentine's Day. She really does love baking and I think she got that from her Grandma Cheryl, who by the way is an excellent baker!! Lexi and I had so much fun making these together, we even pulled in Gavin and Chris to help. I think the turned our perfect and are oh so yummy too!!

Gavin's Surgery

Yesterday Chris and I took Gavin to Sutter Roseville to have his surgery. When we arrived at 6AM, we were treated very well and seems like we didn't wait very long to get processed. Shortly after we found our self in the pre-opp area where we changed Gavin into his robe and socks. The nurse then gave him some medication to relax him, and boy did it. It took no more than 5 minutes and Gavin was slurring his words and just laid in my arms. Here's a video we took, it's pretty funny!! His surgery went great and we were home by 9AM. Thank you Sutter Roseville for a wonderful experience!!

Monster Jam

On Sunday Chris took both kids to watch monster trucks at Arco Arena. They all three had a wonderful time watching the big trucks drive over the smashed cars and drive on two wheels. It was great memories for everyone!!

Caylee's 5th Birthday

On Saturday Lexi went to Caylee's 5th birthday party at Kelli's cookie! We cannot believe that our kids are growing up so fast!! They had so much fun decorating cookies and eating while they worked!! Happy Birthday Caylee!!

Games Anyone?

For Christmas both kids received IXL video games from Santa and since then they have not put them down!
